After extensive research and evaluation, Putnam has chosen the Shadow-Planner suite of automated business continuity tools to help support corporate initiatives related to both corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

Putnam Investments is committed to ensuring that its 200 institutional clients and more than nine million shareholder and retirement plan accounts can receive uninterrupted service. Putnam selected Shadow-Planner as the automated tool to help ensure that its risk assessment, business impact analysis and business continuity plans are continuously updated, and always accessible.

Like many Office-Shadow clients, Putnam is taking advantage of the deployment of Shadow-Planner to review and enhance its existing business continuity practices and compliance with standards. While not strictly the responsibility of the business continuity function, important financial regulations and standards will be referenced, and related practices incorporated where appropriate. The implementation team is also taking steps to coordinate more closely the firm’s business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning efforts.
