Office-Shadow expands executive staff

New CEO, CFO and others join this high-growth company

New York, NY, February 19, 2008- Office-Shadow, the premier business continuity solutions company, today announced that it has significantly expanded and enhanced its executive team with the addition of several key individuals. Included in the list are a new CEO, Group Operations Director, CFO and CTO, as well as a new member of the Board of Directors.

The Company is pleased to announce that Nigel Hopkinson has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Hopkinson has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry. After holding positions at industry leaders including HP and Unisys, he became UK sales director at fault-tolerant manufacturer Status Computer. During the past 15 years he focused on working with emerging technology companies, helping Logic Works to a successful IPO and later acquisition by Platinum. He then served as CEO of Intuit Services Europe, and most recently as Global VP of Sales for SealedMedia where he ran US and European sales teams for this information security company, seeing it through to eventual acquisition by Oracle in 2006

Joining the executive team as Group Operations Director is Chris Oliver FBCI, a recognized expert in the field of business continuity management with more than 15 years of experience. As one of only 125 global Fellows of the Business Continuity Institute, he is Chairman of the main Membership Council and the author of several of the Institute’s key policies and procedures. Prior to Office-Shadow he served as the Director of Corporate Continuity for the States of Guernsey, and created a commercial Business Continuity Practice in his Channel Island home.

Phil Becker joins the Company as CTO, bringing a strong technical background and 25 years’ experience in the IT world. In his most recent position at Visa Europe he was responsible for development of the Visa Money Transfer service. Other related experience includes senior IT positions in financial services and technology companies including Clearmoney (now part of Bacs) and Paytastic.  Simon Maddox, the Company co-founder who formerly served as CTO, has now been promoted to Chief Strategy Officer.

John Haggas, CFO, is responsible for financial management, operations and strategy. He has over 15 years experience at the Finance Director level in privately backed companies in the SME sector, in the fields of technology and media. He has a successful track record of building businesses to exit; his previous two companies were sold to Pearsons and Highbury House respectively.

A distinguished expert in the field, John Nicholson, has also agreed to join the Office-Shadow Board of Directors. Nicholson has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry.  Since 2002, he has been helping venture capital funds and investors to advise and assist companies, boards and management teams. In addition to his Chairmanship of Office-Shadow he currently serves on boards of three other companies. His previous positions included Group Sales Director of Compaq in the UK & Ireland and a Vice President of Compaq Computer Corporation; he also served as Vice President at Digital Equipment Corporation.
